Selling at a rate of one hundred per minute (Recent Studies…, 2006), Ipods look chic and hold entire music collections, but they may actually be harming us. Thanks to the battery life of up to twenty hours, listeners on average will spend more than an hour a day listening to these wonderful inventions (Hearing Loss Danger, 2005), but could their obsession be dangerous to their health? The answer to this question is yes. Ipods can harm the ears, eyes, and even the hands of their listeners, but luckily many ways exist to prevent each and every danger. (more…)
